Tehran – Van Passenger Train Services Start Again!

TCDD Transportation and Iran Railways (RAI – RAJA) delegations met in Tehran on February 3-4 to resume Tehran – Van passenger train services, which were suspended due to the pandemic.

The meeting, chaired by TCDD Transportation Deputy General Manager Şems Çakıroğlu and RAI Deputy General Manager Mr. Mirhassan Mosavi, was attended by RAJA General Manager Naser Bakhtiari, RAJA Deputy General Manager Hasan Esmaili, TCDD Transportation Passenger Department Head Erhan Tepe, RAJA Passenger Department Head Tabatabaei and RAJA Brand President Naseri.

The meeting discussed technical details regarding the resumption of Tehran-Van services in March. In addition, consultations were held on increasing passenger and freight transport to strengthen railway cooperation between the two countries.

Tehran-Van Ticket Sales Start on February 20!

The resumption of the Tehran-Van passenger train is an important step in terms of railway passenger transport between Turkey and Iran, and with the start of the services, transportation between the two countries will become more comfortable and economical. In addition, train services from Tehran to Van will contribute significantly to the regional economy and tourism.

Tehran-Van passenger train ticket sales will begin on February 20, 2025.
