Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues to support its citizens with the projects it carries out in the field of social municipality.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said that in the “Konya Model Municipality” approach, municipality does not only consist of technical services such as roads, water and infrastructure, and that this model, which is an example for Turkey, represents an approach that puts people at the center and is based on solidarity.
Mayor Altay emphasized that they continue to support those in need with the Social Card in 31 districts of Konya, which has been the city of cooperation, solidarity and brotherhood throughout history, together with the Selçuklu, Meram and Karatay municipalities in the center, and said, “We are working with all our might to ensure that everyone lives in peace and security without leaving anyone behind in every corner of our city. With this understanding, we have increased our Social Card support by 2025 percent to 50 percent for 66. This year, we have determined our Social Card support as 1 thousand TL for families of 2 or 3, 3 thousand TL for 4 or 4 people, and 5 thousand TL for families of 5 and above. May it be fruitful. May our fellow citizens spend it on good days.”
SOCIAL SUPPORT WORTH 5 BILLION LIRA IN THE LAST 1.5 YEARS
Mayor Altay said, “In the last 5 years, we have provided social support worth 1.5 billion liras to our fellow citizens in need throughout Konya. As Konya Metropolitan Municipality, we will always continue to be by the side of our fellow citizens.”
Konya Metropolitan Municipality currently continues to provide Social Card support to an average of 12 thousand households per month.
