A snow statue of the Seljuk Ruler Alaaddin Keykubat I was made at the Hunat Hatun Madrasah Culture and Art Center, one of the historical places of the city serving under the roof of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality.
The ancient city of Kayseri, one of the richest cities in Anatolia in terms of historical and cultural heritage, preserves this heritage in the best way possible while continuing to keep the artistic diversity alive in its historical places with the artists it raises.
In this context, Artist Ali Akargöl, who continues to bring his art together with art lovers at the Hunat Hatun Madrasah Culture and Art Center, transformed the heavy snow that has covered the city in white in recent days into art. Akargöl made a snow sculpture of the Seljuk Ruler Alaaddin Keykubat I, which is a Seljuk work, at the Hunat Hatun Madrasah Culture and Art Center.
Evaluating the work, Akargöl stated that he continued his snow works at the Hunat Hatun Madrasah Culture and Art Center and said, “Our concept is Seljuk, we made the bust of Alaaddin Keykubat, one of the great inns of the Seljuks. It is completely Seljuk works. We put a Seljuk tile. I made Alaaddin Keykubat on the base, a Seljuk arch in the background and a Seljuk Eagle on it. I worked as a whole composition. Alaaddin Keykubat's grave is here, so we thought it would be good to work on Alaaddin Keykubat.”
Artist Ali Akargöl, who performs his art on Kültepe tablets, cuneiform and stone carving at the Hunat Hatun Madrasah Culture and Art Center and who previously made snow sculptures on Erciyes, recently made a snow sculpture of the great genius Mimar Sinan from Kayseri, again at the Hunat Hatun Madrasah Culture and Art Center.
Snow sculptures of Mimar Sinan and I. Alaaddin Keykubat are waiting for art lovers at the Hunat Hatun Madrasah Culture and Art Center.
