THE PURPOSE IS TO CREATE AWARENESS

Providing information about the event organized by the Health Affairs Department and attended by citizens of all ages, Health Services Addiction Control Branch Manager Elif Güner said, “Today is World Epilepsy Day… As Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, you know that we continue to carry out awareness and consciousness-raising activities for our people in every field of health. Today, we are here with the same awareness to raise awareness for our epilepsy patients and especially the problems they experience and are exposed to in society. Epilepsy is a controllable, non-contagious disease. Please let’s not alienate epilepsy patients. Anyone can have this disease one day. That’s why we say let’s continue to support more epilepsy patients in society.”

Epilepsy and Life Association Board Chair Ebru Öztürk said, “We present our proposal for cooperation to create a conscious society in our country. We would like to thank Ankara Metropolitan Municipality for supporting us for our second pedaling for people with epilepsy event today, and Ankara City Council Bicycle Assembly for supporting us. We hope that our voices will be heard more with the support of the press. We wish to reach a better tomorrow.”

After the event, colorful and entertaining images emerged with the participation of citizens dancing to music on the stage set up in Anıtpark.
