TÜVTÜRK, which carries out vehicle inspection services in Turkey, has signed a new regulation that directly concerns millions of vehicle owners. This regulation aims to facilitate vehicle inspection processes and provide drivers with advantages in terms of time and cost. These innovations implemented by TÜVTÜRK stand out as an important development, especially for new vehicle owners and drivers who complain about tight appointment processes.
Three Year Inspection Exemption for New Vehicle Owners
The regulation introduced an important change for new vehicle owners. Newly registered vehicles will now be exempt from vehicle inspections for three years. Previously applied as two years, this period has been extended for another year with the amendment. Thanks to this, new vehicle owners will be able to postpone their inspections for the first three years after purchasing their vehicles.
The main reason for the new regulation is that new vehicles have high production standards and low technical failure rates in the first years. This will prevent unnecessary vehicle inspections, reducing both the time and financial burden of vehicle owners. However, after three years, vehicle owners will be required to have an inspection. This change offers a great advantage, especially for drivers planning to buy a new vehicle.
Vehicle Inspection Period Tracking and Reminder System
TÜVTÜRK has launched a new reminder system to ensure that drivers do not forget their inspection dates and do not experience any grievances. With this system, vehicle owners whose inspection dates are approaching will be informed via SMS and e-mail. In this way, drivers will be able to learn in advance when their inspection dates are approaching and will be able to carry out their procedures without having difficulty making an appointment.
Especially in big cities, drivers may sometimes not be able to make an appointment due to the intensity of inspection appointments. In order to prevent this situation and prevent possible grievances, early appointments are encouraged. Authorities recommend drivers to take action early in order not to leave inspection processes to the last day and to prevent congestion.
New Regulation for Exhaust Emission Measurements
Another important regulation was related to exhaust emission measurements that concern vehicle owners. TÜVTÜRK has now switched to a new system that allows exhaust emission measurements to be performed not only at inspection stations but also at authorized dealers. This system aims to reduce the congestion experienced at inspection stations.
Vehicle owners will be able to have their exhaust emissions tested at authorized services other than TÜVTÜRK stations. However, vehicles that do not comply with the emission limits determined by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization will be given a serious fault and will not be allowed on the road. This regulation is considered an important step both to encourage the use of environmentally friendly vehicles and to reduce the density at inspection stations.
Inspection Service Becomes Widespread with Mobile and Mobile Stations
TÜVTÜRK plans to increase the number of mobile and mobile stations to reduce the density of inspection appointments across Turkey. Mobile inspection stations will be put into operation especially in rural areas and in provinces with high demand. In this way, vehicle owners will not have to travel long distances for inspection and access to inspection services will be facilitated.
Mobile inspection stations will provide service to prevent long waiting times at fixed stations. Vehicles with air-assisted hydraulic brake systems will be inspected only at fixed stations, while other types of vehicles will be able to be inspected at both fixed and mobile stations. This development will provide a solution to the problem of congestion, especially in large cities.
Expansion of Mobile Inspection Services in Yozgat
Within the scope of the new regulation, it is also planned to expand mobile inspection services within the borders of Yozgat province. Vehicle owners living in Yozgat and surrounding districts will now be able to have their vehicles inspected through mobile stations without having to travel long distances. This change will provide great convenience, especially for drivers in rural areas.
Vehicle Inspection Processes Made Easier with New Regulations
These new regulations implemented by TÜVTÜRK aim to make vehicle inspection services faster, more accessible and more efficient. The exemption of new vehicle owners from inspection for three years, the performance of exhaust emission measurements at authorized dealers and the widespread use of mobile inspection stations provide great convenience for drivers. In addition, with the reminder system, drivers will be able to complete their procedures on time without missing their inspection dates. In addition to increasing traffic safety, these regulations aim to manage vehicle inspection processes more smoothly and effectively.
