
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that they started to deposit Home Care Assistance payments into the accounts of beneficiaries in an increasing manner and that they made a total payment of 5,4 billion lira this month within this scope.
According to the statement made by the ministry, Minister of Family and Social Services Göktaş reminded that Home Care Assistance, one of the most important family-oriented care service models offered by the ministry, was initiated in 2006 with the idea of supporting disabled individuals primarily with their families.
Göktaş said, “We prioritize the care of our disabled citizens at home in a way that preserves their family unity. With Home Care Assistance, we support the preservation and strengthening of family unity by living with their families or relatives without leaving the environment where the disabled live.”
Göktaş stated that citizens who take care of their dependent relatives in need of care are supported and family integrity is protected with Home Care Assistance, and said, “We are trying to reach every individual in society with the holistic and fair social service models we have developed. Within the framework of our vision of a society that leaves no one behind, we paid a total of 2024 billion liras in Home Care Assistance in 54,7.”
Minister Göktaş reminded that the monthly payments of Home Care Assistance, which are made to provide economic support to fully dependent citizens and their families who are cared for at home, were increased from 9 thousand 77 lira to 10 thousand 125 lira with the increase made according to the January civil servant salary coefficient and were deposited into the accounts of the beneficiaries on the 15th of each month, and stated the following:
“With the new regulation, we have started to deposit Home Care Assistance payments to the accounts of beneficiaries in an increasing manner. Within this scope, we are making a total payment of 541 billion liras this month to the relatives of 5,4 thousand fully dependent citizens who benefit from the assistance and who provide care at home. I hope that the payments will be beneficial to all our disabled citizens.”
