Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which supports producers in every field in order to ensure rural development in Bursa, delivered a disc harrow machine, olive sieving machine, comb olive picking machine, olive picking net, olive crates and 2 tomato paste machines to Orhangazi Municipality through HAGEL.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which contributes to farmers in every field from seedling and seed supply to irrigation pipe production, equipment support to sales and marketing of products in order to ensure rural development in Bursa, has recently provided equipment support worth approximately 500 thousand TL to the Orhangazi district through the Rural Services Department and Bursa Province Animal Husbandry Development Association (HAGEL). Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, Orhangazi Municipality Mayor Bekir Aydın, Gemlik Municipality Mayor Şükrü Deviren, Metropolitan Municipality and HAGEL executives attended the program where one disc harrow machine, olive sieving machine, comb olive collection machine, olive collection net, olive crates and 2 tomato paste machines were delivered.
“If our farmers are happy, we will be happy too”
Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said that they delivered the equipment purchased through HAGEL to Orhangazi Municipality to be put into the service of farmers. Reminding that agriculture is important in Orhangazi, Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said, “Many agricultural products, especially olives, are grown in Orhangazi. After taking office, we supported the farmers. We tried to solve their problems and meet their needs. We continue this process without interruption. If our farmers produce abundant products, they will not migrate from the village to the city and their standard of living will increase. If our farmers are happy, we will be happy too. We stand by all our fellow citizens working in agriculture. We will continue to stand by them.”
Orhangazi Mayor Bekir Aydın stated that approximately 500 thousand TL worth of equipment support was provided with the approval of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and HAGEL board members. Aydın thanked Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and HAGEL for the support provided for agriculture and said, “As Orhangazi Tarım AŞ, we are conducting serious studies on olives and olive derivatives. We believe that the more support we can provide to our farmers, the more benefits it will provide. We aim to provide product diversification and achieve efficient production in the coming years. In this way, we want to both pave the way for our farmers and offer cheaper products. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the support.”
