Beydağ's Eye-Catching 2 September Kurtuluş Park Has Been Renewed!

The 2 September Kurtuluş Park, which was renovated and opened by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in Beydağ, has become the apple of the district's eye. In the park, which attracts great interest from the people of Beydağ, idle areas were removed and sports and playgrounds, new green areas, walking areas and an Atatürk statue were added. Metropolitan teams are rapidly continuing their park, intersection and median renovation works to change the face of the districts located in the Küçük Menderes Basin.

Having initiated work in 30 districts to protect, develop and renew the green areas of Izmir, the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is changing the face of the districts in the Küçük Menderes Basin. The teams from the Parks and Gardens Department and the Technical Services Department have completed the renovation work in 2 Eylül Kurtuluş Park, which is located in the heart of Beydağ and could not meet the social needs of the district with its old structure. The park, which was opened by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay and Beydağ Mayor Şakir Başaran, quickly became the new center of attraction for the people of Beydağ. The unused ornamental pool and concrete areas were removed, new sports, games and walking areas suitable for disabled access were created, and the amount of green space was increased. An Atatürk monument, which will be the symbol of the city, was added to the park symbolizing the liberation of Beydağ. Completely renovated and opened for service, 2 Eylül Kurtuluş Park quickly became the apple of the eyes of the people of Beydağ.

It has a brand new look from start to finish

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality teams added a modern, standard basketball and football field to the 5 square meter park. Playgrounds where children can have fun and have a safe time were created. New walking paths and new seating areas were built. Modern and energy-efficient lighting systems were added to support night use. Technical Services teams laid gray stone pavement and tile semolina on the ground of the park.

Green texture revived

The natural texture of the historical park was preserved and an aesthetic appearance was given with new plants. Within the scope of landscaping works, 200 dwarf flame bushes, 700 gravilya, 2 texanum, 10 magnolia trees, 10 jacaranda and 700 lace trees were planted in the area. Grass was laid on an area of ​​XNUMX square meters.

The park located in the heart of Beydağ has given a breath of fresh air to the surrounding school and residential areas with its renewed appearance. Stating that they love the park in its current state, teacher Şenay Bilgili said, “This place was previously broken, dilapidated and in a bad state. With the means of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, this place was fixed in two weeks. A sports field was built in the back. It did not exist before. Our Atatürk statue, playground and sports fields for children were created. I feel very good when I come here. It turned out so beautiful that everyone loves it. Beydağlı shopkeeper Seval Gülcü said, “There had been no arrangement in the park for years. There was a pool, but other than that there was nothing much. It is very nice now. It is livelier, greener, and there is an area where children can play. We are very pleased, and the children are very happy. We leave the children here and drink our tea and coffee. Mothers and fathers are also comfortable. We thank everyone who contributed. They did a very good job in a very short time.”

Aysel Kandemir stated that the park was well-maintained and said, “It used to be like a forest. There was nothing to see. They cleaned it, renewed it and it became very beautiful. It is lively and crowded like a fair on the weekends. Those who cannot go far away to nature constantly come to our park. Everyone likes it very much. When the weather is nice, everyone and their children are here. We also take walks.”

Mehmet Armağan Bozkurt, who said that he frequently visits the park and has a great time, said, “There used to be a small old pool here. It is very nice now. We usually spend time in the cafes here. The area has been enlarged. There is a football field and a basketball court. Our park has become very nice with the Atatürk statue and the greening works.”

Demir Kaan Taylan said, “Our park was old, bad, and unused. Now we enjoy using the park. We sit on the benches. We play ball with friends. They built basketball and football fields. Every time I pass by, I see people playing. They did a great job, well done.”

Parks, intersections and median strips are being renewed in Küçük Menderes

The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues its park and landscape arrangements in the districts located in the Küçük Menderes Basin at full speed. In Beydağ, the park and its surroundings and the median arrangements were made on Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Street. In addition to Beydağ, the intersection of Fabrika Önü Street and Hükümet Önü Street in Bayındır was completely renewed and given an aesthetic appearance. The Parks and Gardens Department started the renovation work of the recreation areas in Kiraz.
