GUHEM Increases Space and Aviation Awareness

GUHEM, which makes significant contributions to the goal of creating space awareness in the National Space Program, continues to instill knowledge in the field of space and aviation to thousands of visitors during the semester break.

Children who enjoyed learning while having fun at GUHEM, Turkey's largest space-themed center, which was implemented under the leadership of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, walked on the Moon and flew a plane like a pilot with 154 interactive devices. Students attended different workshops on aviation, space and astronomy accompanied by science communicators. Children who learned about topics such as rocket technologies, satellites, the Solar System, exoplanets and meteorites found answers to all the questions they were curious about about space.

Uraz Pekin, a fifth grade student who came from Amasya during the mid-term break, said, “GUHEM is very fun. It is a great place for Turkey. I have also seen astronauts visiting here. I liked the 360-degree rotation the most here. I also liked the hot air balloon very much. I think GUHEM is one of the best space education centers in Turkey.”

Ninth grade student İpek Pekin, who said she wanted to come again and again, said, “GUHEM is one of the most beautiful places in Bursa. I really enjoyed walking in space and completing the tasks. Each section has its own unique beauties. I would like to come again.”
