Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said that the Russian army launched missile and drone attacks on Zaporizhia at night, targeting residential areas and infrastructure.

Noting that 26 people, including a two-month-old baby, were injured in the attack, Zelensky said: "During the second wave of shelling, our rescue workers were injured while responding to the aftermath. All relevant services are working at the scene and doing everything possible to assist those affected."

Zelenskyy said that Russia's daily terror against Ukraine requires increasing pressure on terrorists, and said:

“We need more sanctions against Russia, more air defenses to protect our cities and communities, and more weapons for our frontline fighters. Supporting Ukraine saves lives and it can’t wait.”
