With the initiative of Yalova Municipality and the participation of expert academicians, the 'Monumental Trees' located throughout Yalova were examined.
Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forestry Engineering, Faculty Member Prof. Dr. İbrahim Turna, Yıldız Technical University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Landscape Planning Program, Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Var, Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Forestry, Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakyemez came to Yalova and made an inspection.
Yalova Mayor Mehmet Gürel said, “As a result of our initiatives, we invited 3 of our teachers to our city and asked them to make inspections. They came to our city and made inspections in many green areas, including the Monumental Plane Trees. We will take care of our Monumental Trees in a more conscious manner. Each Monumental Tree is important to us.”
