Malatya Metropolitan Municipality announced that the Northern Belt Road works carried out by Malatya Metropolitan Municipality have been completed and made ready for service.
According to the statement, the Northern Belt Road aims to solve the traffic problem in Malatya by putting the Northern and Southern Belt Roads into service together. The Northern Belt Road will be opened during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Malatya.
The Northern Belt Road is planned to be 13 kilometers long and 4 lanes. This road will connect the Sivas-Malatya and Malatya-Elazığ highways, facilitating intra-city transportation and also making a significant contribution to intercity transportation.
Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Sami Er examined the works on the road on site and conveyed the works carried out in the fields of asphalt, road opening, infrastructure and superstructure. A safe road axis was created by building a 38 cubic meter stone wall, and safe water passages were provided with 166 culverts along the road route. In addition, the road was modernized with 13 square meters of pavement, 17 meters of curb and 286 lighting poles.
