Istanbul-Damascus Flights Started Today

Minister Uraloğlu stated that flights will be organized three days a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, during the winter period of January 23-March 27. Minister Uraloğlu noted that the departure time of the planes from Istanbul is planned as 3:09.00 and the departure time from Damascus is planned as 13.00:XNUMX.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that the flights were organized focusing on daylight hours because they would be carried out under visual flight (VFR) conditions, and said, “The necessary permitting processes from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and the Syrian Aviation Authority have been completed for the flights in question to be carried out.”

Technical Team Will Conduct Inspections

Uraloğlu, who stated that a technical team was also present in the first flight today, reminded that they had previously assigned teams to Aleppo and Damascus Airports to examine and identify the current situation and deficiencies. Uraloğlu said, “Our technical team from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, which went to Damascus on today’s first flight, will conduct field visits and inspections in Syria until Sunday.”
