Gatineau-Ottawa Streetcar Will Connect Two Cities

    • In December 2025, the Société de Transport de l'Outaouais (STO) signed a $114 million contract with Groupe Porteur. This financing covers technical and environmental studies for 22 kilometers of the tramway in Quebec.
    • In June 2024, the federal government and Quebec authorities provided $163,5 million in funding for project planning.

The consortium will manage all stages of the process by undertaking the construction, material supply and testing phases of the project.
