Croatia Announces Tender for Hybrid Train Supply

Croatian Railways (HŽPP) has launched a tender for the supply of hybrid trains to modernise its fleet. The project is worth a total of €107,3 million (excluding VAT) and envisages a specific timeframe for the delivery of new trains. The supplier is expected to fulfil its obligations within two years after signing the contract.

Project Scope and Delivery Terms

A total of 13 trains will be delivered within the scope of the tender. These include 5 diesel and overhead traction, 4 ignition battery and 4 battery trains. These hybrid trains stand out as an important step towards strengthening HŽPP’s transportation infrastructure and reducing environmental impact.

Modern Solutions and Sustainable Technology

The supply of hybrid trains will include modern technologies, in line with HŽPP’s goal of reducing costs and providing environmentally friendly transport.
