Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is turning the most popular venue of Izmit, the area next to Izmit Clock Tower, which was previously operated as the Waterfall Park Cafe, into a facility for the city’s elders. The name of the place in the most special spot of the city will be “Saygınlar Kulübü”. It will include activity areas and social facilities for those over the age of 65. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Dr. Hayri Baraçlı inspected the area where the works started with the new year.
PLANNED AS A “DISTRICTS CLUB”
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to produce new projects for our elders over 65 years of age and to touch their lives. In this context, another project carried out by the Metropolitan Municipality Health and Social Services Department Disabled and Elderly Services Branch Directorate is coming to life in İzmit. The place located in İzmit Kemalpaşa Neighborhood Saray Yokuşu Street, owned by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and previously operated as Şelale Park Cafe, is being turned into a “Saygınlar Kulübü” social living area for our elders over 65 years of age.

Preparations for the “Saginlar Club”, planned as a social activity venue to increase the quality of life for those over the age of 65, began with the new year. According to the statement, the facility, where our elders can engage in various activities, make the most of their time, increase their quality of life and engage in social activities, is expected to be put into service in a short time.

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Dr. Hayri Baraçlı examined the works that started at the “Saygınlar Kulübü” on site. Baraçlı was accompanied by the Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary Generals Numan Balaban and Ebubekir Ardıç during his examinations.
