Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar held a meeting on the transportation agenda with his staff at AKOM following the visit of Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
Transportation projects are gaining momentum
At the meeting where the latest status regarding the rail system line, Yazlik Multi-Storey Junction, City Hospital Connection Roads and the metrobus line that will provide service between Millet Bahçesi-Yenikent-City Hospital was discussed, Alemdar said that they have made important progress for Sakarya's giant transportation projects. Expressing that Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Abdülkadir Uraloğlu has shown close interest primarily in the rail system and all transportation projects, Alemdar noted that the project of the rail system line that the city has been eagerly waiting for will be completed quickly and the construction phase will begin.
City Hospital Road and Metrobus Line
On the other hand, Alemdar stated that the City Hospital Connection Road Project will be started quickly upon the instructions of Minister Uraloğlu, and gave the good news that the “preliminary project” for the Summer Intersection project and the City Hospital-National Garden Metrobus Line has been completed.
The process in the rail system is progressing healthily
Alemdar said: “The process of the rail system project that will provide service between the Stadium and the Campus is progressing healthily. There is no problem regarding the investment. Our Minister also stated during his visit to our city: we are rapidly completing the project regarding the rail system and moving on to the construction phase. The rail system, which was included in the investment program with the approval of our President, will meet our city. I would like to thank our Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, who is closely interested in the transportation projects of our city. Hopefully, we wish to bring many more transportation projects to the city.”
Project work begins for City Hospital roads
Alemdar, who stated that the transportation lines related to Sakarya’s health base were planned, said, “In addition, the roads that will provide transportation to the City Hospital, which will be the health base of our city, were also included in the program. We are also making project preparations regarding the construction of roads that will provide transportation to the City Hospital. We will complete this work together with our Metropolitan Municipality, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transportation. May God bless it.”
Summer Intersection and Metrobus
Alemdar also explained the latest situation regarding the Yazlık Junction and the City Hospital-Yenikent-Millet Bahçesi metrobus line, saying, “The project phase of the Yazlık Multi-Storey Junction is about to be completed. At the same time, the plans for the metrobus system that will provide transportation in Yenikent are ready. The preliminary projects for the metrobus line have been completed. We had also started the process for purchasing the metrobuses. Our fellow citizens can rest assured; we are working diligently to bring our other transportation projects, especially the rail system line, to our city. Hopefully, we will complete our investments quickly and put them into the service of Sakarya.”
The Metropolitan Municipality is working feverishly to quickly bring four giant transportation projects to Sakarya.
