'Free' Parking Service for Special Needs Citizens in Kayseri

Continuing to exhibit examples of municipalism by heart and satisfying the citizens of Kayseri, the Metropolitan Municipality under the management of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç continues to provide services to the special residents of the city in its ongoing activities. In this context, the Metropolitan Transportation Inc. provided free parking services to thousands of citizens with special needs.

Free Parking Support for Nearly 4 Thousand Special Needs Citizens

In the field of transportation, which is of great importance for citizens with special needs, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality provided a total of 3 citizens with special needs the opportunity to use parking lots free of charge. Private residents of the city benefit from the opportunity to use roadside parking lots for 868 hours and multi-storey car parks for 2 hours per day.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which also takes care to create the city's infrastructure in a way that is suitable for citizens with special needs, has also implemented a new application at all 80 doors of 876 vehicles that will enable special individuals to board the rail system vehicles more easily. Again, thanks to the 'Accessible Pedestrian Buttons' project by the Metropolitan Municipality, 20 buttons at 160 intersections have provided safer transportation opportunities to citizens with special needs.

On the other hand, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, which continues to increase its services to make the lives of citizens with special needs easier and to raise their living standards, offers education opportunities to individuals with special needs by offering the Besime Özderici Barrier-Free Living Center, one of the most comprehensive barrier-free living centers in Turkey, to Kayseri. Yüksel Ateş Barrier-Free Children's House also provides services for a total of 66 children with special needs, 15 boys and 81 girls.
