Konya Metropolitan Municipality has completed the infrastructure rehabilitation and hot asphalt works carried out to raise the standards on Dr. Ahmet Özcan Street.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that while they are making urban transportation more comfortable, safe and fluid with overpasses and new streets, they are also making intense efforts to increase the quality and comfort of existing roads.
4.800 TONS OF HOT ASPHALT WERE USED
Expressing that the works to develop the transportation infrastructure continue uninterruptedly, Mayor Altay said, “We continue our investments to make the daily lives of our citizens easier in the center of Konya and all its districts and to increase the quality of transportation. We have completed the hot asphalt works that we started on both sides after the water and sewerage network improvement works in the section between the Pirebi Neighborhood intersection of Dr. Ahmet Özcan Street, which is one of the most important main arteries in the center, and Çeçenistan Street.”
Noting that they made this important route connecting Meram and Karatay districts more modern with the hot asphalt work carried out on Dr. Ahmet Özcan Street, Mayor Altay said, “We have made the traffic flow safer and more comfortable with our renewed roads and intersection arrangements. I hope it will be beneficial to our city.”
Konya Metropolitan Municipality used 2,6 tons of high-quality hot asphalt on the 4.800-kilometer round-trip road.
