
In a statement made by the emergency services, it was stated that a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Vityaz-Aero company with three crew members was being searched in Kamchatka and that there may be 19 tourists on board.
“We received a report that a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Vityaz-Aero airline company could not reach its destination. According to initial reports, there are three crew members on board. The route is Vachkazhets volcano – Nikolaevka village (Yelizovsky district). The distance is 25 kilometers. At the moment, a plane belonging to the same airline company has taken off to search for the helicopter,” the statement said.
According to information received from the Russian aviation agency Rosaviatsia, it was confirmed that there were 19 tourists on board, as well as three crew members.
