Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate three new Vande Bharat trains on August 31, marking a major milestone in Indian railways. These new trains will make regional transport more efficient by improving connectivity between the states of Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
The Ministry of Railways said in a press release that since its inauguration, Vande Bharat Express has become a symbol of India’s aspirations for comfort, speed and luxury in rail travel. These indigenously developed, modern trains were first introduced on February 15, 2019, under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Vande Bharat trains are known for their high speed and comfortable interiors, while also improving the travel experience to a great extent. The new trains will offer comfort and speed, especially on long-distance journeys, enabling passengers to experience faster and more comfortable travel.
