In the evening, thousands of Gemlik residents gathered in front of the old Dental Hospital and walked together in the Victory Cortege, singing marches. The holiday excitement reached its peak with the Legendary 90s Concert held by the Gemlik Municipality in İskele Square. Unforgettable artists of the 90s sang the iconic songs of the period together with the people of Gemlik.
After the concert, Mayor Şükrü Deviren took the stage and celebrated the Victory Day of Gemlik residents and made an enthusiastic speech. Mayor Deviren said, “We celebrate the Victory Day of August 30th with the most sincere feelings. After the morning ceremony and march, we continued our enthusiasm for the Victory Day of August 30th with the Efsane 90s concert held at İskele Square. This tremendous enthusiasm, which shows that the spirit of national struggle that we have carried for 102 years will never fade, will continue to increase.”
President Deviren also thanked the Efsane 90's staff, Hazal, Şahsenem, Seçil, Zafer Peker, Murat Makar and all of his fellow citizens who shared their enthusiasm and gave us a wonderful musical feast with this unique concert. He concluded his speech by saying, "This victory is ours, Happy August 30 Victory Day!"
