Beylikdüzü Municipality celebrated August 30 Victory Day with great enthusiasm, as it does every year. The events began with a wreath-laying ceremony held in the Çanakkale Victory Square and Relief Area in the morning. Following the ceremony, a procession marched from the Beylik Market Area and ended at the Republic Event Area. This colorful procession, which was attended by thousands of citizens, young and old, was attended by Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık and his wife Zehra Çalık, as well as district protocol, political party representatives, NGOs and many citizens. During the march, citizens accompanied the celebrations by singing marches in unison.

Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık gave his audience great excitement and pride with his speech at the August 30 Victory Day celebrations. Drawing attention to the historical importance of the victory, Mayor Çalık emphasized the determination and resolve of the Turkish nation. Çalık said, “The foundations of the new Turkish state, the young Republic of Turkey, were laid here. Its eternal life was crowned here. The Turkish blood shed in this field, the souls of martyrs flying in this sky are the eternal guardians of our state and republic. Today, exactly 102 years later, we continue to fight with the same determination and faith.”

President Çalık stated in his speech that the Turkish nation is the children of a generation that does not give up, does not give up and does not get tired, and said, “We wrote history, and we will direct the future without deviating even a millimeter from the path of the Gazi. If there is something more important than commemorating victory, it is to keep the victory alive. Because the true value of a victory is measured by how we carry it forward. The indomitable spirit of that day gives us the responsibility of establishing a strong future where we can compete with the world today. We will be the pioneers of this vision.”

Çalık, who stated that they will run towards new victories with the spirit of solidarity in Beylikdüzü, addressed the youth and said, “Dear youth, victories are not only won on the battlefield; you are the pioneers of a more just, more equal, more sustainable Turkey. Accessing information and shaping the world is in your hands. Now it is your turn to speak; you are the ones who will build the future and crown that great victory won 102 years ago.”
Çalık, who ended his speech with the words, "Such a youth is coming, my friends. Mustafas, Kemals will keep Atatürk's power alive forever. Happy August 30 Victory Day. Independence is our character. How happy is the one who says I am a Turk", received great applause from the audience.
ZEYNEP BASTIK WAS FASCINATED WITH HER PERFORMANCE
After the speeches, the beloved name of Turkish pop, Zeynep Bastık, met with her fans on the specially prepared stage in the Cumhuriyet Event Area and enchanted the people of Beylikdüzü with her performance. Bastık gave an unforgettable night to the thousands of people who filled the area with her magnificent performance.
