Changes for the 2023-2024 Season in the Regional Amateur League

The Regional Amateur League (BAL) organization continues with some important changes in the 2023-2024 season. This season, the rules determined according to the performances of the teams in the league will affect the fate of the teams. The teams that take first place in the BAL will gain the right to be promoted directly to the 3rd League. In addition, the teams in second and third place will have the chance to participate in the Play-Off matches for the 3rd League.

However, the teams in the last two places in the league will unfortunately face the risk of relegation. The provincial status application, which caused great reactions last year, will continue this year. Within the framework of this application, only BAL teams from provinces that do not have a professional team will be able to participate in the Ziraat Turkish Cup.

This season, there will also be heavy sanctions for clubs that withdraw from the league or do not play in matches. This situation stands out as a measure taken to encourage teams to stay in the league in a disciplined manner.

  • The teams in the 1st place will be promoted directly to the 3rd League.
  • The 2nd and 3rd placed teams will play in the Play-Offs.
  • The last two teams will be relegated from the league.
  • Only BAL teams from provinces without professional teams will participate in the Ziraat Turkish Cup.
  • Heavy penalties will be imposed on clubs that withdraw from the league or do not play.

These new rules aim to increase competition in BAL and ensure teams achieve success. We wish all teams success!
