
According to May sales data, the New Peugeot Rifter achieved another great success as the most preferred light commercial vehicle in its class during the launch month, with a segment share of 25 percent.
According to May sales data announced by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), Peugeot Turkey took its success one step further with the New Rifter model.
Peugeot, which completed last year with a total sales figure of 20 thousand 83 units in the light commercial vehicle market, finished the year in 3rd place, especially with the performance of Rifter. Making a rapid start to 2024, Peugeot took its increasing performance to the top in May, the launch period, with the renewed Rifter. Peugeot Rifter, which reached a 25 percent segment share in May, reached leadership as the most preferred light commercial vehicle in its segment last month.
Stating that Rifter has become a brand in the light commercial vehicle market, Peugeot Turkey General Manager Gülin Reyhanoğlu said, “This rising sales graph of our vehicle makes us very happy. Rifter, which completed last year as the leader in its segment, managed to reach the leadership again in the launch month as of last May. "One of every 4 light commercial vehicles sold in its segment in May was the New Peugeot Rifter," he said. Reminding that they completed the year 2023 with a 7,6 percent share in the light commercial vehicle market, Gülin Reyhanoğlu said, “This indicates a share above our total market share. Our commercial vehicle product range, which we have completely renewed and introduced to the market, will be our greatest assistant in achieving our ambitious goals. "This year, we aim for a share in the light commercial vehicle market similar to last year," he said.
Reminding that the sales rate of light commercial vehicles in the total market last year was 22 percent, Gülin Reyhanoğlu continued:
“As Peugeot Türkiye, this rate was 26 percent. We aim to keep this rate above the market in 2024 with our ambitious light commercial vehicles. As we mentioned before, as Peugeot Türkiye, we do not plan to get down from where we started. Rifter plays a very important role in our goals this year. We aim to maintain our market share in the light commercial vehicle market, which we reached last year, at the end of 2024. With sales of 11 thousand 86 units, our Rifter model constituted more than half of our total light commercial vehicle sales last year and finished the year as the leader of its segment. This year, we want to further increase the percentage of our sales with the new Rifter.”
The new Rifter is offered in Turkey with two different hardware options: Allure and GT. The new Rifter stands out with its SUV design and modular structure, suitable for users who need loading space for business purposes and for use with their families without the need for a different car. The New Rifter has a more dynamic front design with the New Peugeot logo on the front grille and the new front grille design. The new model also bears the brand's iconic three-clawed light signature. Rifter's assertive style stands out even more with the popular new Khaki Green and Turquoise Blue colors.
