Awards were given to their owners at the 'International Yed-i Velayayet 11 Provinces Short Film Festival', organized for the 7th time this year by Ehli Sanat Cinema and Culture Association with the support of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) and the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. At the final night of the festival at Gökmen Space Aviation Center, the 7 best scripts and the 4 best films received awards.

Turkey's first interactive space aviation training center, GUHEM, hosted the International Yed-i Velayet 7 Provinces Short Film Festival awards night. Speaking at the opening speech, BTSO Board Member Alparslan Şenocak said that the most important actors in high-tech production targets are young people with high self-confidence. Stating that young people who work with determination, faith and determination will guide Turkey's goals with the new horizons they gain, Şenocak stated that GUHEM, which hosted the festival's award ceremony, is the concrete outcome of the process that started with such a dream.

“GUHEM Adds Power to Our Country's Space Travel”

Alparslan Şenocak reminded that GUHEM, which is the largest center in Europe and among the top 5 centers in the world, took part in Turkey's first national space program. Stating that Turkey needs qualified human resources first of all in order to achieve a sustainable structure that can compete with the world in the space sector, Şenocak said, “This unique center also exhibits the work of pioneering figures whose names are engraved in golden letters not only in the history of our country but also in the world's space aviation history.” . In our festival organized under the subtitle 'From Past to Past, Space, Aviation and Technology', we rewarded the scenarios written inspired by the success stories of those who left their mark in the field of space and aviation. “I wholeheartedly congratulate all our artists and everyone who contributed to the work that will bring the life stories of important figures to the big screen and pass them on to future generations.” said.

“We Bring the First Discoverers of the World of Science to the Present Day”

Eda Sürmeli, President of the International Yed-i Velayet 7 Provinces Short Film Festival, stated that they organized the festival for the 11th time this year with the theme of "From Past to Past, Space, Aviation and Technology" and said, "We are organizing a nice event in the world's leading space aviation and education center. This center has a completely different value and meaning. GUHEM, where we organize today, is a door opening from the past to the past. I must say that this center inspires us too. This year's theme of our festival had a purpose. 1.300 ago western civilization was facing major problems. The name of this process, which would last a thousand years, was the Middle Ages. The situation in the East of the world was very different from the West. The golden age of knowledge and science was experienced in the east. This year, we aimed to make these little-known facts known. We chose this theme to carry the traces of the first explorers of the world of science to the present day. “I would like to thank our Ministry of Culture and Tourism, our General Directorate of Cinema and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, our Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, and our Bursa Governorship, who have been partners in this journey for 11 years.” he said.
