Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that studies are continuing on the provision of some courses of the 12 artificial intelligence-based associate degree programs, which were implemented in cooperation with the BTK Academy, which serves within the body of the Higher Education Institution and the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, and which will accept students this year, from BTK Academy courses, and said, " Within the scope of the project we are working on together with our Higher Education Institution, we aim to complete the studies for the courses to be taught in associate degree programs in the 2024-2025 Fall Semester as a pilot by the end of August.” said.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that with the joint work of the Higher Education Institution and BTK Academy, BTK Academy infrastructure, training and courses will be used by universities and the trainings will be prepared by opening new courses when needed. Emphasizing that courses on digital technologies and artificial intelligence will be included in the curriculum at universities, Uraloğlu said that they aim to reflect the courses taken from BTK Academy on students' transcripts as non-university acquisitions.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that, in the first stage, studies were being carried out on covering some of the courses of the 12 artificial intelligence-based associate degree programs, which were newly opened and will accept students this year, from BTK Academy courses, and added: "We have completed the draft study for possible course pairings." said.

“We Aim to Complete Course-Based Report Preparation Works for the Matching of Courses in Associate Degree Programs by the End of June”

Minister Uraloğlu also emphasized that they made arrangements and additions to ensure that BTK Academy courses exactly match the target and purpose of the courses at universities, and said, "Efforts to prepare reports on a course basis are continuing in order to match BTK Academy courses with the courses in associate degree programs. Reports on this study are planned to be completed by the end of June. According to the reports that will emerge, BTK Academy will organize its own courses and create a pool of YÖK courses that will directly cover the courses in associate degree programs.” he said.

“Work continues for the courses to be taught in the 2024-2025 Fall Semester”

Minister Uraloğlu noted that studies have been initiated for the courses to be taught in associate degree programs in the 2024-2025 Fall Semester as a pilot, and said that these studies are planned to be completed by the end of August. Stating that studies and matching will continue for the spring semester and the next year's courses, Uraloğlu said, “For some of the current associate degree courses, suitable content cannot be found in BTK Academy, or suitable courses may be missing in content. For this reason, we will additionally receive offers from our relevant universities for new courses or completion of missing content.” he said.

“Artificial Intelligence in Health; in medical diagnosis and treatment processes, transportation; in driverless vehicle technologies, economy; It is used in almost every phase of our lives, from customer service and fraud detection in the financial sector to law, agriculture, education and architecture. Unfortunately, the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence can also be used by malicious individuals, foreign intelligence and terrorist organizations. Therefore, we must educate our youth correctly about artificial intelligence and technology. In this context, we attach great importance to this cooperation with the Higher Education Institution.”
