Nilüfer Municipality is preparing the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan by taking the opinions of people from different sections. The work started with workshops and neighborhood meetings organized with the slogan 'Produce Together, Manage Together', and lastly continued with workshops organized for women and children to express what kind of Nilüfer they would like to see from their own windows.
'Future Workshop with Women', organized with the aim of making women more equal in society and improving their quality of life, was held at Nilüfer City Council. Members and representatives of Nilüfer Women's Council, women's associations in Nilüfer and non-governmental organizations operating regarding women's rights and legal processes attended the workshop organized by Nilüfer Municipality Strategy Development Directorate.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Nilüfer Municipality Deputy Mayor Serpil Altun stated that they were together to create the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan of Nilüfer Municipality and talked about the work they have done so far. Stating that they met with citizens in many neighborhoods, Altun noted that they received the opinions and suggestions of the residents. Reminding that they have stated that women, young people, disadvantaged groups and agricultural areas have been among their priorities since the election process, Altun said, “With the work we will do here, we will ask women and children about their priorities in the next 5 years in the strategic plan. We will talk about what we need to preserve and what we need to develop further. We intend to take their ideas and suggestions and manage our city with common sense. "Every contribution you can give here is very valuable," he said.
Following the speech, the workshop started. Participants were asked to write their opinions and proposals on the papers distributed. Then, the ladies discussed Nilüfer's future plan based on the ideas and proposals that emerged.
CHILDREN PRESENTED THEIR REQUESTS AND OFFERS
The Future with Children Workshop was held in Çocuk Mahzur Tanımaz Park. After Nilüfer Municipality Strategy Development Directorate teams gave information about their work, Nilüfer Deputy Mayor Emre Karagöz talked about the importance of the ideas that the children would express here. Later, Nilüfer City Council Children's Council and children from different neighborhoods expressed their ideas and suggestions to create a more livable, sustainable and child-friendly environment.
