
The stand, organized in cooperation with Muratpaşa Municipality and Azize Kahraman Public Education Center, presented the works of 16 thousand 60 trainees who participated in courses organized in 6 centers and 100 branches in a wide range from weaving to jewelry production, from knitting to ceramics, to the city's residents. Trainees exhibited various works they prepared by applying the techniques and skills they learned throughout the year.
Muratpaşa District Governor Orhan Burhan, Provincial National Education Director Salih Kaygusuz, District National Education Director Yakup Hoplar, CHP Muratpaşa District Leader Can Okan Kıran and Mayor Ümit Uysal and his wife Ümran Uysal attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony started with a folk dance show and continued with a fashion show featuring mostly felt and leather clothes. Hair designs, leather lace and wicker knitted bags were also exhibited at the fashion show.
Leader Uysal, who visited the stands, said, “The place with the highest number of art courses compared to the population in Turkey is Muratpaşa. "It's great for people to gain a life-changing skill and make a living from it," he said. Uysal stated that he felt great satisfaction when he saw people learning professions and arts and earning income from it, and that all his tiredness disappeared.
