Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. stated that they have increased the controls so that citizens can shop in a peaceful and safe environment, just a few days before Eid al-Adha. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, ''We have increased our controls at all points in Melikgazi, especially on businesses selling food products. Our police teams will continue their checks before Eid al-Adha, taking into account many components such as expiration dates of products, hygiene status of businesses producing food products, weight and price tag compatibility. We continue all our efforts to ensure that our citizens have a peaceful and healthy holiday. We will not allow any business that takes advantage of Eid al-Adha to increase prices and try to sell products at exorbitant prices. "What we want from our citizens is to report any negative situations they see while shopping to our police groups or to our municipality through our invitation center," he said.
