Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç examined on-site the works completed in the Kültepe Museum, which is an underground museum with the rock carving process of the Metropolitan Municipality, which is unique in the world. While the work is nearing completion on the rock-carved Kültepe Museum, where the works from Kültepe Kaniş-Karum, which has a deep-rooted history of more than 6 thousand years, will be exhibited by the Metropolitan Municipality, which protects the historical and cultural heritage in Kayseri, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç examined the rock-carved Kültepe Museum project on site.
During the technical visit to Mayor Büyükkılıç, Kültepe Kaniş-Karum Mound Excavation Head Prof. Dr. Fikri Kulakoğlu, Metropolitan Municipality General Secretary Hüseyin Beyhan, Deputy General Secretaries Hamdi Elcuman and Ali Hasdal and department heads were also accompanied.

Journalist Stephane Foucart from Le Monde Newspaper, which is considered a reference newspaper in the world as well as being the most read newspaper in France, also examined the rock-carved Kültepe Museum and chatted with Mayor Büyükkılıç for a while.
While French journalist Foucart said that he had never seen such a place before, Kültepe Kaniş-Karum Mound Excavation Head Prof. Dr. Fikri Kulakoğlu also mentioned that Journalist Stephane Foucart will prepare 5 series of articles in Le Monde Newspaper and will work for a week and convey them to his readers in France.
Making a statement here, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “We are currently in our carving museum in Kültepe, which we describe as an underground museum. It has become a prominent structure not only in Turkey but also in the world. We started our work to display this museum, which is 3 square meters in size, with the products from that region, which we call Kültepe Kaniş-Karum, and to ensure that this place can be used as a museum. "The end has come, the museum has been completed, and it will be made available to the public for the benefit and information by carrying out digital studies," he said.
Reminding that the 'Kültepe Tablets' are in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “Kültepe Kaniş-Karum is already on the UNESCO heritage list, so we will help the world recognize the products from here. "I wish good luck to our city and thank those who contributed," he said.

“Excavations have been carried out here since the 1940s. Excavations are still ongoing. We have a street dating back to the Assyrian period and the Kültepe Visitor Center there, and excavations continue. There are artifacts here that we offer for the benefit of the world, that were taken to France, England and America. There are products from these artifacts in the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, in the warehouses of our Ministry of Culture, we also have the Archeology Museum, each of them in different places, commercial agreements. We are talking about a period in which laws regarding money, trade and money were written regarding social life, such as social agreements, husband-wife and mother-in-law disputes. The emergence of these studies is important for the marketing of products. “We are making an effort to ensure this.”
