
Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak stated that they received a record number of applications for the GSB Youth Camps to be held in 25 provinces and announced that 131 thousand 168 young people registered to participate in the first period.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, free Youth Camps will be organized by the General Directorate of Youth Services in 2024, as every year.
As the busy academic year comes to an end, the first term applications for Youth Camps, which started on May 15, ended on June 7.
GSB Youth Camps, which will be held free of charge in 24 different areas, 23 of which are sea and 25 nature, in 11 different provinces between 27 June and 38 September, were met with great interest from young people.

Stating that new friends and friendships were established in the camps, Minister Bak said, “There is cultural transfer between our young people from different provinces. "In our camps, we raise awareness of our young people, who are the future of our country, against harmful habits in order to contribute to their development." he said.
Under the General Directorate of Youth Services, it has opened its doors to thousands of young people since 2002; Youth Camps, which continue their activities during the National Camp and Thematic Camp periods, provide services in 25 different camping areas, including 11 sea and 27 nature camps, in 38 different provinces.
Youth Camps; It also offers a unique opportunity with station training to support the expansion of competency areas such as time management, planning, implementation and basic life skills, and to raise awareness of individual duties and responsibilities in adaptation to social life.
Summer Youth Camps; It is divided into two: sea and nature camps. While 12-13 and 14-15 age groups are hosted in sea camps, 16-17, 18-22 and 23-25 age groups are hosted in nature camps.
In Sea Camps; swimming, yachting, various sports activities, street games, folk dances, theatre, music, handicrafts and cultural activities.
