CHP (Republican People's Party) Keşan District Women's Branch President election was held on Monday, June 10, 2024. Women's Branch President Emine Gegeoğlu renewed confidence in the election. Stating that women made a great effort in the local elections, Çiğdem Gegeoğlu said: “We were devastated in 2019. We went through the whys and wherefores. Thank God, we took back our flag, which was taken down from Keşan Municipality, without further delay, in the next election, with your efforts and efforts, our district leader, and our entire organization. Reminding that there is no victory without women, District Chairman Anıl Çakır used the following words: “You all came well. I greet you with love and respect. We proudly welcomed you here, my leader spoke here. We experienced great grief in 2019. However, we set out with a very convinced group and team. Each of you are actually inner heroes. We were always at the forefront, together with my leader Mehmet (Özcan), and you accomplished great things behind the camera. We made a great effort against the ruling party. While we were hanging Mehmet Lider's photo here, they hung the president's photo. While we were trying hard here, they showed off all the blessings of the government and the state, but you taught us that these things are not done with money but with heart and belief, this was the victory of a handful of women, you made a great effort, this victory belongs to all of you. I believe that we will send them in the first general election, and we will win 4-0 in Edirne. Here again you will be the largest shareholder. I cannot think of any effort that the lady is not involved in. You can't win without women. You left your spouse, you left your child, you left your livelihood, you left your home, but we picked up that flag from the ground and raised it together, never to lower it again. I believe we will raise it in Turkey and the next president will be the candidate of the Republican People's Party. As a member of the party that owns the ruling party, you will knock on doors and we will hold the next meetings with even larger numbers. I have always said that those who have love for Ataturk and the love of the republic in their hearts have gone to great lengths, there are republican women here like lions. I congratulate our women's branch leader Emine Gegeoğlu, she made a great effort. You always fought together. He aspired to take office again. I wish him and his teammates well. I wish him success, may his path be safe. I express my gratitude to you too. “This is just the beginning, continue the effort.”
After the speeches, a council was formed. Hatice Öcal, Şengül Özcan and Figen Kanar Kayseri were elected to the council. A Stand of Respect and our National Anthem were read. Then, the messages of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and CHP Women's Branch President Aylin Nazlıaka were read.
