Minister Şimşek: The Center's Normalization Steps Continue

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek noted that with the strengthening of macro financial stability and reserves, simplification steps within the macroprudential framework are continuing.

"We reduced the foreign exchange sales obligation to the CBRT, which was 70 percent for exporters using rediscount credits, to 2023 percent in November 40," said Minister Şimşek, in his post on his social media account on the subject, and added: "With the new regulation, all export proceeds and foreign exchange earning service revenues will be sold." We reduced the liability from 40 percent to 30 percent. "Our simplification steps will continue to make markets work more effectively," he said.
