Antalya Metropolitan Municipality will provide free sacrifice service for Eid-al-Adha this year as well. Free animal sacrifices will be carried out under the supervision of a veterinarian on the 1st and 2nd days of the Eid at Soğuksu District Thursday Market, Yeşilbahçe District Closed Wednesday Market and Döşemealtı Kömürcüler Animal Market.
Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Services Department Rural Development and Cooperatives Branch Directorate has determined slaughtering places at 3 different points so that citizens can receive sacrificial slaughtering services under hygienic and healthy conditions during Eid al-Adha. Citizens will be able to benefit from the free sacrifice service on the 1st and 2nd days of the Eid at the Animal Market in Döşemealtı Kömürcüler District, Muratpaşa District Soğuksu District Thursday Market and Yeşilbahçe District Closed Wednesday Market. Serik and Kaş-Demre slaughterhouses of the Metropolitan Municipality will also be open to the use of citizens for the slaughter of cattle on the first and second day of the holiday.
MASTER BUTCHERS WILL SERVE
Fatih Alkan, a veterinarian working at the Department of Agricultural Services, stated that the citizens will slaughter the sacrificial animals under the supervision of veterinarians, with master butchers, and deliver them to their owners in bags. Alkan also said that the slaughter areas will be cleaned and disinfected frequently during the day due to the sacrificial waste that will appear before and after the slaughter.
ANIMAL CAPTURE SQUAD
The 'Animal Capture Team' will also be on duty during the Eid al-Adha to ensure that escaped animals can be caught and taken under control without being harmed. Citizens will be able to ask for help by calling the "Animal Capture Team" on Alo Police 153, 0242 332 22 33 or ABİM line on 444 94 20.
