Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues to work on the arrangement of Akyokuş Palye, which will add value to the city.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, who examined the works, stated that the project they carried out in one of the places where the city has the best panoramic view will contribute significantly to the brand value of Konya.
“IT WILL BE ONE OF THE MOST ATTRACTING AREAS OF KONYA”
Mayor Altay touched upon the importance of works that support social life while improving the physical environment of the city, providing recreation and entertainment opportunities to the people of Konya and visitors from outside the city, and made the following evaluations:
“We are making intense efforts to re-evaluate Konya's attractions and bring them into tourism. We carried out very important works in and around Tavusbaba Mosque in Meram Son Durak. We also work intensively in Akyokuş, one of the most important attractions of Konya. We previously completed the Akyokuş Pavilion and put it at the service of our citizens. We also work intensively on Akyokuş benches. Here, together with walking areas, cafeterias, restaurants and waterfall areas, we are creating a decent area where both our citizens coming to Konya and the people of Konya can see the city panoramically. Hopefully, it will be one of the most attractive areas of Konya when completed. We aim to complete it by the end of the year and introduce it to the people of Konya in the spring. It will be an area where we will both introduce our guests to the unique nature of Konya and have a good time with our children and families. I hope it will be beneficial in advance.
