The disinfection work carried out by the Çiğli Municipality Cleaning Affairs Directorate has been doubled as the summer season arrives and the mosquito and pest population increases. The groups regularly spray pesticides in neighborhoods, especially green areas and stream beds.
Disinfestation work is carried out twice every day in 8 neighborhoods with 26 vehicles. The spraying starts at 19.00 in the evening and continues until 02.00 at night. The teams of the Directorate of Cleaning Works, which carry out pesticide work on a daily basis, spray again at night after spraying. In this way, it is aimed for the people of Çiğli to have a summer without mosquito problems.

Çiğli Mayor Onur Emrah Yıldız noted that with the arrival of summer, they cleaned and sprayed stream beds and green areas, and emphasized that the neighborhoods were systematically sprayed every day without any interruption. Yıldız said, “We continue to work diligently to ensure that our citizens of Çiğli have a summer season free from mosquitoes and pests. We doubled our spraying period. "We will work without interruption to ensure that our citizens have a comfortable summer," he said.
