Sacrificial animals were slaughtered in hygienic environments in Osmangazi

Osmangazi Municipality, which takes great care to ensure that citizens can perform their religious duties in a clean and hygienic environment, installed taps in slaughter areas and met the water needs of the citizens. Water tankers kept ready in the market areas also carried out frequent washing operations during the sections. Cleaning Affairs Directorate groups collected sacrificial waste from garbage containers. The groups distributed garbage bags to the citizens to put the sacrificial waste and warned them not to sacrifice animals outside the designated points.

Citizens, who performed their sacrificial prayers in 23 closed and open market areas determined by Osmangazi Municipality, thanked Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın for the opportunities he provided them.

Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın stated that they have mobilized all means to enable citizens to perform their prayers in a clean and hygienic environment and said, “We have completed our preparations days in advance so that our citizens can fulfill their sacrificial obligations in a healthy and safe environment. We organized 23 open and closed market areas throughout the district as sacrificial slaughterhouses. With the first day of the Eid, our citizens had the opportunity to go to the points we organized as sacrifice slaughtering places and perform their sacrifice prayers in a healthy and hygienic environment. Our teams carry out day-long cleaning work in slaughter areas and do not allow bad scenes to occur. In addition to our Cleaning Affairs, Technical Affairs, Police and Environmental Protection and Control Directorate teams, our invitation center staff will also carry out work during the holiday. Our citizens can contact us in emergencies, and in case of any problem, they can call our municipality and report their requests, demands and complaints.
