Alexey Navalny's Companion is Under Threat!

Leonid Volkov, the former head of the Alexey Navalny Anti-Corruption Foundation, was attacked outside his home in Lithuania on Tuesday.

The attacker broke the window of Volkov's car and sprayed tear gas into his eyes before hitting him repeatedly with a hammer, Navalny's press secretary Kira Yarmysh told X.

Ivan Zhdanov, the current Director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, also described the attack as follows: “Leonid Volkov was attacked with a hammer; "He was taken to hospital," he confirmed.

Volkov later published a video on his Telegram channel stating that he returned home after receiving treatment in the hospital. He said the attacker broke one of his arms but failed to break his legs despite hitting him "about 15 times" with a hammer. Volkov said he would make a more detailed statement later but described the attack as “an obvious, characteristic, typical, gangster-style greeting from Putin.”
