Rize İyidere Logistics Center Will Develop the Region

The construction of a logistics center on the sea embankment in İyidere district of Rize continues. With the implementation of the logistics center, it is aimed to integrate Rize-Artvin airport and the Ovit Tunnel, which connects Rize to the East and Southeast.

The logistics center built on the sea embankment in İyidere district of Rize is considered one of the most important logistics projects of Turkey. The project, planned to be constructed with 20 million tons of fill, is aimed to be completed in 2025.

With the realization of the logistics center, it is aimed to integrate Rize-Artvin airport and the Ovit Tunnel, which connects Rize to the East and Southeast. In this way, the region is expected to become an important center in international trade.

With the completion of the project, the logistics center is planned to have an annual load carrying capacity of 13 million tons. The logistics center will have a structure where containers, general cargo, bulk cargo and ro-ro ships can dock.

The logistics center is expected to make significant contributions to the regional economy. With the completion of the project, new employment areas will be created in the region and the export potential of the region will increase.

Work continues unabated to complete the logistics center. If the project is completed as planned in 2025, it is expected to make significant contributions to the economic and social development of the region.
