
Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş visited the ongoing Logistics Port construction in İyidere district and made observations by obtaining information about the latest status of the works.
Work continues unabated on the İyidere Logistics Port project, which is one of the giant projects of our country and implemented with the vision of "Turkey Century". Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş visited İyidere Logistics Port and received information about the latest situation in the project from the contractor company officials. Then, he visited the Logistics Port construction site and examined the work done.
Governor Baydaş stated that the main breakwater and backfield fill manufacturing continues at İyidere Logistics Port and that a total of 12,65 million tons of fill has been manufactured. He emphasized that 1950 meters of filling has been completed in the main breakwater and that it is 72% completed, and that 488 thousand square meters (390%) of the total back area of 80 thousand square meters has been completed.
During the inspections accompanied by İyidere District Governor Eray Gürsoy, Provincial General Assembly President Sabit Karafazlı and logistics center construction site chief İbrahim Ahmetoğlu, Governor Baydaş stated that progress was made in the project and stated that İyidere Logistics Center, which is of great importance for the future of Rize and the region, has both logistics and technical support. He stated that it is of great economic importance.
İyidere Logistics Port, which will connect the Eastern Black Sea region with Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus, will be one of the important centers of international trade. It will make a significant contribution to Rize's economy with the added value and employment that will be created upon completion of the project.
