Deniz Kireç's personal exhibition titled "Seascapes" met with art lovers at Pinelo Art Gallery on Friday, November 17, 2023.
Artist Kireç said, “I have an intuitive and expressionist understanding of art, so unconscious figures come to life on my canvases. Symbols representing figures belonging to my name, Deniz, take their place in my compositions. Like fish, whirlpools, algae, etc. I use gold leaf in my works. According to Jung, “Soul” is depicted in a circular form. Inspired by this, in my works, I symbolize the souls of living creatures with the golden circle and emphasize how valuable the soul is. “I invite art lovers to my exhibition to share my dreamy and inner journey in my works.” He expresses his thoughts with his words.
Deniz Kireç, who received his undergraduate education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Industrial Design, completed his Master's degree in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design in New York. She worked as a designer at Universal Buzz, iConcept and Dolphin Organization in New York. She has worked in a wide range of areas, from product and graphic design to video installation and illustration. While his installation work was exhibited at the Chelsea Art Museum, the documentary he prepared was screened in New York, Washington DC and Los Angeles. She returned to Istanbul in 2009 and started teaching as a lecturer at Arel University. In 2011, she opened her own workshop and started working on portfolios with students to help them apply to art, design and architecture schools. In 2019, she completed her PhD study at Işık University, Department of Art Science. In his doctoral thesis, he developed a model design to observe the mental health symptoms of secondary school students. His articles on design have been published in various magazines such as art+decor and Digital Arts since 2002, and his articles on art have been published in international peer-reviewed journals. Kireç still continues his personal art works in his workshop in Istanbul.
