Bursa International Photography Festival (BursaFotoFest), which will be held for the 100th time this year with the theme of 'Traces of the Century' on the 13th Anniversary of the Republic, opens its doors once again at Merinos AKKM between 03 - 12 November 2023.
Fahrettin Beceren is the curator of the 03th Bursa International Photography Festival (BursaFotoFest), which will be held between 12 - 2023 November 13 this year, in cooperation with Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Bursa City Council and Bursa Photography Art Association (BUFSAD). This year, dozens of photographers from Azerbaijan, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Hungary and different provinces of Turkey will participate in BursaFotoFest with their works. The guest of honor of BursaFotoFest 2023 is Merih Akoğul. Fargana Gasimli from Azerbaijan, Haris Memija from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mehmet Gökyiğit from TRNC, Milán Radisics from Hungary and Suer Celina from Kosovo will take part in the festival. From Turkey, the works of many photographers such as Cengiz Karlıova, Alper Tüydeş, Dora Günel, Engin Uzun, Hamit Yalçın, Erhan Sevenler, Gülbin Özdamar Akçay, Oktay Çolak and Sefa Ulukan will be presented to art lovers. Names such as Mehmet Turgut, Murat Germen, Derya Yüksel and Ercan Arslan will share their experiences and experiences under the title of interviews.
At BursaFotoFest 2023, under the title of "Masters of Photography", there will be names of masters who have guided and served photography and the art of photography in Turkey for many years. İbrahim Zaman, Güler Ertan, Gültekin Çizgen, Ozan Sağdıç and Ahmet Esmer will share Turkey's adventure in photography with us. In addition, many side events such as workshops, shows, artist talks, interviews with masters, and portfolio evaluations will also be organized.
'Traces of the Century' on the 100th anniversary
BursaFotoFest is organized around a theme every year. This year's theme is 'Traces of the Century'. The festival will showcase the projections of individuals, institutions, political and cultural figures who left their mark on the Republic's development to this day, as well as examples from around the world. In addition, art, culture, industrial productivity, daily life styles, documenting or photographing important social and individual events are the sub-headings of the festival. The opening ceremony of BursaFotoFest will be held on Friday, November 03, 2023 at 19.00 at Merinos AKKM Hüdavendigar Hall.
