Mesut Demir, Chairman of the Internet Journalists Federation (IGF), condemned Israel's attacks and massacres of civilians, especially journalists, carried out in Gaza with a white phosphorus bomb and demanded that peace come immediately.
“ISRAEL MUST END THE VIOLENCE AND MASSACRE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE”
Stating that the whole world saw the most brutal aspect of the violence and massacre perpetrated by Israel in Gaza, where 7 journalists lost their lives yesterday, President Demir said, “We wish God's mercy to the Palestinian citizens, especially our colleagues who lost their lives, and a speedy recovery to the injured. We strongly condemn Israel's violence and massacre in Gaza. All countries in the world must show the necessary reaction to Israel's massacre of civilians using white phosphorus bombs. We call on all countries of the world to take action against violence and massacre against civilians, especially our journalist colleagues. The life safety of our colleagues who broadcast to show the world the violence is also disregarded. “The Israeli Government must put an end to the violence and massacre as soon as possible.” said.
“WE CONDEMN VIOLENCE TO OUR HEROIC COLLEAGUES”
Underlining that the profession of journalism is difficult in every aspect of life and that the best indicator of this is journalism done in a war environment, Mesut Demir said, “It is inevitable that Israeli soldiers who inflict violence on journalists and news organizations who try to do their job without fear will give up this attitude. We also condemn the countries that support this attitude of Israel. We think that countries with strong conscience will not allow those with different ambitions in the Middle East to cast a shadow on peace. "We recommend that our colleagues who want to announce the massacre and violence to the world and who try to carry out their duties without fear and risking their lives, take the necessary security measures and carry out field work." he said.
