The excitement of the Traditional Turkish Sports Games, which will start on October 100 and last for 27 days, organized by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of the 3th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, started with a cortege. The cortege, which attracted great interest from everyone from 7 to 70, witnessed colorful scenes.
100th anniversary celebration will be experienced with Traditional Turkish Sports Games
The excitement of the Traditional Turkish Sports Games, which will be organized by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality on 100-27-28 October, within the scope of the 29th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, started with a cortege. The cortege, accompanied by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Band, started in front of Denizli Governorship. The cortege included Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Ömer Faruk Özer, Traditional Equestrian Sports Federation Vice President Bahri Önal, department heads, Denizli Metropolitan Belediyespor athletes, many citizens and equestrian athletes who will take part in the 3-day competitions. While the decorated horses attracted great attention, especially from children, everyone from 7 to 70 watched the equestrian athletes with admiration. While the cortege, which continued from Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard to 15 July Delikliçınar Martyrs Square, witnessed colorful scenes, citizens recorded the rare event with their mobile phones.
25 equestrians from 500 provinces will participate
Traditional Turkish Sports Games, which will be held at Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Traditional Sports Games Complex, will be held between 27-10.00 on Friday, October 17.00, 28-12.00 on Saturday, October 19.00, and 29-12.00 on Sunday, October 19.00. In the Traditional Turkish Sports Games, where 25 equestrian athletes from 500 different provinces, especially Uşak, Erzurum, Balıkesir, Ankara, Sivas and Van, will participate, in addition to equestrian javelin competitions, there will be equestrian archery, kokbörü, bowhunting, chavgan, equestrian wrestling and equestrian acrobatics shows. Participation in the Traditional Turkish Sports Games, where Denizli residents will fully experience the enthusiasm of the 100th anniversary of the Republic and where historical and cultural elements will be revived, will be free.
