The 3rd and last leg of the Turkish Super Enduro Championship will be held in Fethiye district of Muğla. The championship, which will be organized in cooperation with the Turkish Motorcycle Federation, Fethiye Municipality and Fethiye Orman Sports Club, will start at Akdeniz Off Road Park on Saturday, October 7, with a magazine start at Beşkaza Square.
MOTOCROSS-LIKE CHALLENGE ON A DIFFICULT TRACK
Athletes will work hard in the qualifying rounds and first stage races on the Akdeniz Off Road Park Motocross Track. In the Fethiye race of the championship, athletes will compete fiercely to overcome challenging artificial obstacles on the 550-meter-long track and compete for the season finale.
IN MEMORY OF RACE SARI MEHMET
The athletes will start in memory of Mehmet Özyarim, nicknamed Sarı Mehmet, who had the license of Fethiye Orman Sports Club and passed away at the age of 71. Mehmet Özyarim was both a rival and an example to young athletes. Özyarim, who lives in Kütahya, started his first motorcycle repair job in Fethiye, worked as an engine mechanic for 30 years, and then started participating in motorcycle races 9 years ago.
Özyarim, who set an example for young athletes by competing in all three categories in the championships and tried to show that sports have no age, received the greatest support from her husband, who was always with her in all the races held in various provinces. Özyarim started racing 9 years ago by obtaining a license from Fethiye Ormanspor, and has won many medals and trophies in the championships he has participated in so far.
FINAL AND AWARD CEREMONY ON SUNDAY
Races in the Super EnduroGP, Enduro Prestige, Enduro Master, Enduro Hobby, Enduro Youth, Enduro Veteran and Enduro Women categories will be held on October 7-8. The championship will be completed on Sunday, October 8, with the final and award ceremony.
