TOSB (Automotive Supply Industry Specialized Organized Industrial Zone) signed a cooperation agreement with Siemens Turkey in order to combine its production power with uninterrupted energy.

TOSB (Automotive Supply Industry Specialized Organized Industrial Zone), the only global cluster organization in Turkey where automotive supply industry representatives operate, is hosting a giant investment. In this context; An investment and cooperation agreement was signed with Siemens Turkey, a pioneer in smart energy distribution and energy efficiency projects, to obtain clean energy and prevent power outages and power fluctuations.

The project was introduced with the signing ceremony held between Siemens Turkey and TOSB. At the ceremony at TOSB, Siemens Turkey Electrification and Automation Country Finance Manager Işıl Duygu, Siemens Turkey Electrification and Automation Country Manager Alper Çelebi, TOSB Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Mehmet Dudaroğlu and TOSB Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Alper Kanca signed the contract. TOSB Chairman of the Board Dr. Mehmet Dudaroğlu; Stating that one of the firsts has been achieved in the field of sustainable energy within the scope of the project worth 3,5 million Euros, he said: "Our work continues for the 'Revision and Capacity Increase Investment in TOSB Downstream Center and Electricity Distribution Network', which will insure the future energy needs along with the energy needs in TOSB's first 10-year growth plans." . "With this investment, the malfunctions and maneuvering operations that occur outside the borders of TOSB will not be affected," he said.

Alper Çelebi, Siemens Turkey Electrification and Automation Country Manager, stated that effective, reliable and sustainable energy systems applications have started in the industry with these signatures and said, "It collects instant data remotely from operating elements distributed over a wide area of infrastructures such as network electricity / water / natural gas, which are responsible for operating. We call SCADA the whole of central control systems that process this data and transform it into meaningful information for operators, allow remote control and command of the relevant network, automate the system when necessary, and exchange information with other infrastructures. Within the scope of the project, we will enable autonomous management of networks thanks to the SCADA system that will be installed in all working areas of TOSB in the first stage, while we will also reduce digital protection system failure risks and impact areas with IOT applications to be created with Siemens Turkey engineering services. "While Siemens will initiate TOSB's digital transformation journey with its technology, it will offer industrialists a more competitive production opportunity with its uninterrupted energy infrastructure," he said.

Emphasizing that they preserved the infrastructure established by Siemens 20 years ago within the scope of the project, Çelebi said, “We have extended the life of the existing infrastructure for another 20 years by equipping it with up-to-date technologies. In this context, we created sustainable value for our customers by preventing the production of 5 new cells worth approximately 200 million Euros. "On the other hand, we reduced the cost of the project by 50 percent," he said.

TOSB Chairman of the Board Dr. Mehmet Dudaroğlu also stated that with the completion of the project, our network protection system will be improved and our other members will no longer be affected by the faults coming from the members, and in case of faults occurring outside TOSB borders, the fault will be isolated with remote intervention; "With the SCADA system that will be put into operation within the scope of the project, the protective and preventive maintenance required by the network will be reported by the system," he said.
