The 9th Sakarya International Short Film Festival is starting with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality and SAU. The opening ceremony of the festival, to which 93 films from 1730 countries applied in the fiction and documentary categories, will be held on Tuesday, October 17, at SAU Turgut Özal Culture and Congress Center at 14.00.
The 9th Sakarya International Short Film Festival, organized in partnership with Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and Sakarya University, with the support of the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, is starting. The opening of the festival, to which 93 films from 1730 countries, including Turkey, applied in the fiction and documentary categories, will be held on Tuesday, October 17. Derviş Zaim, the successful director of Turkish cinema, will attend the 19th Sakarya International Short Film Festival, which will continue until Thursday, October 9, as the guest of honor. The 'Honor Award' will be presented to Derviş Zaim for his contributions to cinema. In the competition in which 1730 films participated in the fiction and documentary categories, the first 10 productions among the 3 finalists will win the award. Film screenings, interviews, exhibitions and workshops will meet movie lovers throughout the festival.
