International Women Short Film Directors Festival Begins

Kadıköy The Municipality will host short films of female directors from various countries of the world within the scope of the International Women Short Film Directors Festival, which is held for the fifth time this year.

All screenings within the scope of the festival, which will bring together female short film directors and films from Turkey and the world in Istanbul, Kadıköy It will be held at Yeldeğirmeni Art Center on 22, 23 and 24 September with the support of the Municipality.

Directed By Women Turkey, the first international festival for female short film directors in Turkey, aims to support the creative processes of women in the field of cinema, encourage their production, and increase the cultural and artistic interaction between female directors from different countries. Contributions of the Cinema Women's Association and Kadıköy The festival, organized with the support of the Municipality, will start with the Young View screening on Friday, September 22, at 14.00.

In addition to the film screenings that will be held for three days, workshops will also be included within the scope of the festival. Interviews will also be held at the festival with writer Ayfer Tunç and female comedians Deniz Özturhan and Hande Yögen. Awards will be given to the best films selected in various categories at the International Women Short Film Directors Festival. The award ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 24 at 21.00.
