Pet Izmir – 7th International Izmir Pet Product, Material and Accessory Suppliers Fair was opened with a ceremony. Pet Izmir, held in Fuarizmir Hall B, will remain open until the evening of October 1, 2023.

Pet Izmir, the second largest fair in its field in Europe and organized by TEMA Fuarcılık in Fuar Izmir, was opened. Deputy Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mustafa Özuslu, Izmir Chamber of Commerce Council President Selami Özpoyraz, Aegean Cereals Pulses Oil Seeds and Products Exporters Association President Muhammet Öztürk, İZFAŞ General Manager Canan Karaosmanoğlu Buyer, Tema Fuarcılık Chairman Aykut Karslı and sector representatives attended the opening ceremony. Aykut Karslı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEMA Fuarcılık, said, “We aim to contribute to the industry's 2023 million dollar export target with the internationally organized Pet Izmir 400 Fair. Our fair to its participants. It offers four days of great interest from international visitors. We are Turkey's largest and Europe's second largest fair. We also want to be first in Europe. "I would like to thank everyone who contributed and supported the opening of this fair," he said.

Özuslu: Nature does not only belong to humans

Deputy Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Mustafa Özuslu, said, “We are aware of how valuable fairs are in terms of increasing the export potential of the sector. We are very happy to open the Pet Izmir Fair, hoping that it will be a breath of fresh air for the industry and provide opportunities for our entrepreneurs. There is undoubtedly another very important feature that makes this fair valuable. We need to remember every day that nature does not belong only to us humans. We must not forget that the lives living in our homes and on the streets need not only mercy, but also their right to life and respect. Izmir is a very aware city in this sense. We are very happy to live together with street creatures, both in our homes and on the streets. We give meaning to the city we live in together with animals and nature. "I hope the fair will also guide us on natural law and animal rights," he said.

Open until October 1

After the ceremony speeches, the guests visited the stands. Within the scope of the organization, in which 225 leading companies of the sector participated with more than 600 brands, food, sand, cosmetics, care, decoration, transportation, textiles, kennels, accessories and toys for cats and dogs were showcased. Feed, care, health, cage and aquarium systems for birds and fish were also presented to the visitors. Animal lovers will have the opportunity to examine a wide range of products for their pet needs and will also be able to obtain information about the clinical and technological devices used by veterinarians. Pet Izmir 2023, with its competitions, colorful shows and presentations, will remain open until the evening of October 1, 2023.
